While the idea carries an element of logic it would be a major surprise if clubs in the Premier League or the EFL voted for the introduction of such a rule. With the transfer windows for players well established and administered at an International level it seems extremely unlikely that clubs would give up the right to change their manager at a time of their choosing.
This season's three changes lies in stark contrast to last season which reached a record-breaking total of 14 manager switches when Javi Gracia was dismissed by Leeds United with four games remaining.
After Roy Hodgson's Crystal Palace departure there are currently no Premier League managers in any imminent danger of losing their job, although things can change very quickly in football's modern era.
